Overview
International University of Barbados (IUB) – School of Medicine has designed MRCOG Clinical Premier Training for doctors aiming to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. MRCOG is ideal for MBBS graduates and this program provides structured, expert-led preparation for the Royal College exams. NEET-PG is not required to progress this course.
MRCOG is delivered in collaboration with leading hospitals across India, the training combines academic excellence with hands-on clinical exposure. It equips doctors with knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to successfully clear the MRCOG examinations and advance their careers in women's health.
MRCOG Part 1 – Focuses on basic and clinical sciences relevant to Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
MRCOG Part 2 & 3 – Focuses on application of clinical knowledge and assessment of practical skills respectively.

The MRCOG Part 1 Exam is a comprehensive test , focusing on the basic sciences relevant to obstetrics and gynaecology. Exam Requirements
To be eligible for the MRCOG Part 1 exam, candidates must have a recognized medical degree and a minimum of 12 months of postgraduate medical experience. This requirement ensures that candidates have gained foundational clinical experience before taking the exam. First-time applicants are required to complete and submit an eligibility application form.

MRCOG Part 2 Exam
The MRCOG Part 2 Exam assesses clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills in obstetrics and gynaecology. It focuses on applying theoretical knowledge to patient care, covering diagnosis, treatment, and management.
Exam Requirements
To take the MRCOG Part 2 Exam, candidates should have passed Part 1 exam and meet specific eligibility rules on recent qualifications and number of attempts. These requirements are outlined in the Exam Regulations.

One-day exam
Two papers – 3 hours each
Each paper contains 50 SBAs & 50 EMQs
Extended Matching Questions (EMQs): 60% of the questions are EMQs on each paper.
Single Best Answer (SBAs) Questions: 40% of the questions are SBAs on each paper.

MRCOG Part 3 Exam
The MRCOG Part 3 Exam represents the final phase of the MRCOG qualification process. It evaluates candidates' clinical skills and ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.
This stage emphasises key areas such as communication, patient safety, ethics, clinical management, and decision-making. It is conducted through an objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) format.
Exam Eligibility
To be eligible for the MRCOG Part 3 exam, candidates must have successfully passed the MRCOG Part 2 examination and received approval for their Assessment of Training (AoT). The AoT application can be submitted at any time and does not require candidates to wait for their Part 2 result.

Each station lasts for 12 minutes duration
The MRCOG Part 3 Exam comprises of 14 stations covering patient tasks, colleague tasks, and structured discussions. The candidate will be assessed on 6 core competencies which are:
